UNDERSTANDING CANCER: CHEMOTHERAPY/RADIATION THERAPY DIET

General Tips

If you are feeling nauseous try to blend any of the foods featured in the following diet in a food processor or blender and then drink hot or cold. It is important to keep energy and nutrition levels high while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy, as nutrients are required in large amounts by the body.

If you are in the hospital for long periods, it is advisable to take your own foods. Try to make fresh salads, take in plenty of purified water, soups and fruit.

Try to drink eight glasses of water throughout the day. Pure water helps to flush toxins from the body and cleanses and protects the kidneys.
